Marriage

 Wedding for bride and groom who are the parishioners of the Cathedral (at least one of the spouse lives in the same district as the Cathedral building)

 The first step to be done is to make the marriage reservation. 

 The date of the marriage should be confirmed in the fixed term. 

 The couple should come to the cathedral office, three months before the marriage date, to write-off premarital protocol having with you: 

  • Passport
  • Baptismal certificate (is valid 6 months from the day of issue). Those who were baptized in the particular Cathedral do not have to bring this certificate.  
  • Certificate of catechism completion in school.
  • Certificate of Confirmation (if this information is not indicated in the Baptismal certificate)
  • Certificate of premarital course completion (may be submitted later during the settlement of other formalities)
  • Document from the Civil registry (may be submitted later during the settlement of other formalities)
  • Personal data of witnesses 

 The Sacrament of Marriage in days according to Sunday’s Mass schedule is not provided in the Cathedral.

 Weddings take place every hour.

 II. Wedding for the couples out of the Cathedral parish (none of the bribes lives in the same district as the Cathedral building) 

 None of the brides is a parishioner of the Cathedral. 

 Accordingly, the reservation of marriage should be done at first. 

 After the announcement about the Marriage in the Cathedral and after the completion of the documents the parish of the residence issues the license for the parish of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Lviv which should be submitted to the our office at least 14 days before the marriage. 

Weddings take place every hour.
